Rochester, Minn. ─ The Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation and Mayo Clinic Ventures today announced that Aces Health, Inc. of Atlanta, GA has been selected as one of five finalists for the Mayo Clinic Think Big Challenge, a national competition for innovators and entrepreneurs to earn the opportunity to license Mayo Clinic technology, lead a team, and score a $50,000 cash prize.
Aces has chosen to present a market strategy for the Mayo Clinic technology, Business Enhancement Analytics Tool (“BEAT”), a proprietary software that synthesizes health data and provides real-time, cloud-based business analytics and enables dashboards, alerts, metrics and other integrated tools for the emergency room, clinical, or hospital care environments.
“The possibility of being able to partner with the Mayo Clinic and utilize the BEAT technology provides us with the ability to jump start our company’s traction and immediately provide a measurable, cost saving impact on the healthcare industry. We are excited to participate in the Mayo Clinic Think Big Challenge because we see the potential for BEAT to integrate seamlessly with Aces’ proprietary software platform, providing immediate value to customers and the healthcare industry overall, says David Heenan, Aces’ President.
The final round of competition will occur on September 15 at the Mayo Clinic Transform 2016 Conference in Rochester, Minnesota, before an expert panel of venture capitalists and a live Transform audience. The winner will become the Mayo Clinic Think Big Challenge entrepreneur in residence.
